Naked Conversations - How Blogs are Changing the way Businesses Talk with Customers
Naked Conversations is one of the best blogging books I have ever read. Robert Scoble and Shel Israel show us a lot of successful examples in blogging. The book starts with how Microsoft turned its evil image (because of a lot of court cases) to good image by just blogging. Microsoft is one of my favourite examples.
The book shows us some bad examples in blogging as well. Vichy, a division of French cosmetics giant L’Oreal, created a “character blog” and finally it took only few hours for the blogosphere to react strongly and negatively. Comments began pouring in declaring that this was not a blog. Finally Robert Scoble and Shel Israel show us some tips in blogging and how to blog in a crisis.
Customers need to communicate with us. They need honest conversations directly from companies rather than advertisements in TV and newspaper. They need unfiltered conversations to build relationship with companies. The book tells us the danger of companies which does not participating in conversations. If you have not read the book, you will miss out lots of useful information in blogging.
